Flamencos del Mediterráneo

Fundación Mediterráneo
Murcia

'Flamencos del Mediterráneo' is a concert series of seven performances in Murcia featuring established flamenco artists alongside emerging talents. The program runs from November 2026 to May 2027.

Some arts are learned in an academy, while others are inherited in a cave in Sacromonte or by listening to a mother sing. Flamenco thrives on both, and this series showcases how they coexist.

From November 2026 to May 2027, Fundación Mediterráneo and Flamencum Experience bring seven Fridays of flamenco to Murcia. Seven shows that bring together established figures and a generation already making a name for itself:

  • Iván Vargas, with Nazareth Reyes as a guest artist. In Pellizco, the Granada-born dancer pays homage to the masters who trained him.
  • Carmen Romero. Linaje brings three dancers from the same family to the stage.
  • Claudia La Debla, Matías Campos, Lucía López, and Pietro Paolo. Their fresh approach to dance highlights the next generation.
  • Pedro Córdoba and Belén de la Quintana. A Compás brings improvisation and the playful energy of the tablao.
  • La Lupi and Curro de María. Trece mantones y pico tells the story of the Manila shawl through dance.
  • Mercedes Luján. Origen y revolución champions the solo flamenco guitar.
  • La Moneta, Rocío Martínez, and Delia Membrive. Mujeres del Mediterráneo, featuring dance and female song, closes the cycle.

Each performance can be enjoyed individually. Together, they trace a map of contemporary flamenco: its origins, its history, and the questions it asks about its future.
